Darlene Tarantino:  

I was born in Manhattan N.Y. raised in Stockton California. I went to McKinley Grammar School, John Marshall Jr High and then on to Edison. We lived on South Harrison St. in Carona Park. Between 3rd. and 4th street. all the kids around there played under the street light on 4th st. The Willis's , Zanini's Gonzales's and who ever came from around the neighborhood. We played Hide and Seek. Base Ball. Tag and Jump Rope. I will never forget the good times and the bad times on that street corner. They were an important part of my growing up. They were great times. . I was married at a young age . Had 2 daughters. The marriage lasted only a blink of an eye in time.. I met my husband of 42yr at Sharps Army Depot where he was stationed. When he was discharged I moved here to Youngstown. Ohio. I had my son in 1974. I have 6 grand children. Three granddaughters and three grandsons. My oldest grandson is in the Marines. The others are still in school. ..June MMXI My Grandson Justin is going to re up in the Marines and go into Special Ops. My Granddaughter Erin will be a senior this year. Grandson J. T. is graduating from pre school and Little Frankie 2 is learning how to defend himself from his older brother. Jaycie will be 11 this month and is in everything you can possibly think of. Ana is into sports. She played basketball and is now into flag football. It's so funny watching her run for a touchdown. Hope everyone from the class of 64 is doing well and in good health. My 42 anniversary is coming up in August That's more than half my life. OMG how did I do it. June 21 MMXI Well Ana is done with football and now will be playing tee ball and soccer. Jaycie is still in dance. Trying out for the lyrical and jazz group. Frankie my son will be graduating from nursing school in August. 4 years of training in 18 months. His boys are doing boy things, like fighting Little Frank has started hitting back so J.T. doesn't rule the roost any more. As for me I'm just along for the ride. June 30 MMXI My son was just notified that he will be graduating from Kent State Nursing program in August Cum laude and with Honors. July 25,20XI Well we are close to my son's graduation. He'll be done with school on Aug.8th and graduation is on the 13th. Having a little get together with family to celebrate. Now comes the hard part passing the board. Then he will be a Registered Nurse. I give him a lot of credit. Quitting his job at General Motors where he worked for 13 years and going back to school. He gave up some big bucks to do this. I'm going to be a year older in August, don't even want to think about it but that's something I can't control. Quoting the movie Pretty in Pink " Why can't we be born old and grow young" .Hello to everyone from the class of 1964 even though I may not know all of you we still have that in common. Aug.3 20XI Well I made it through my 42 anniversary. yesterday Next is my son's graduation on the 13Th. What a surprise he gave me.
